Millinery Courses

Our courses take place in our shop/workshop in the centre of Reading. As this is a working shop we may have to deal with customers from time to time, although frequently I will have an assistant in the shop. Occasionally unplanned appointments may happen and we will encourage you to take part in the design process if you are interested, as this is also a great learning opportunity. If we are frequently interrupted the day may be extended.

We also offer one to one tuition tailored to individual needs at £35 per hour plus materials.

All our courses are run on a one to one basis by request on flexible dates suitable to both the student and ourselves. Please contact us directly to book.

Sinamay 3 day course

By the end of the third day you will aim to have completed 3/4 pieces and will have the knowledge of how to decorate pre-made hats which are available from most millinery suppliers.

Sewing skills are required, but help will be provided where necessary.

This course runs over three consecutive days from 10 a.m until 4 p.m. During this course we encourage homework to re-enforce what has been learnt during each day.
